Hart Print , an innovative and eco-friendly digital printing company, has opened a new production facility in Cecil County. Located at 402 Belle Hill Road, the new location will help the company increase its printing capacity by 66 percent each year.

With locations in Canada and Illinois, and soon to be in North Carolina, the new Maryland location allows Hart Print to accept larger orders and gives the company increased flexibility. To assist with its move into Maryland, the company intends to utilize the state’s More Jobs for Marylanders program and Job Creation Tax Credit, both administered by the Maryland Department of Commerce.

As the first company to introduce digital printing on recyclable aluminum cans, Hart Print provides custom designs for a variety of beverage companies and products including beer, spirits, seltzer, and kombucha. The company is focused on providing plastic-free sustainable products by using biodegradable and compostable alternatives to plastic can rings and shipping products in cardboard boxes. Hart Print was acquired by Ardagh Metal Packaging, a sustainable packaging supplier, in late 2021.

"This expansion unlocks easy access to cans for the massive number of beverage providers in the Northeast of the US,” said Hart Print co-founder and co-CEO Stephanie Hart. “We're proud to bring our customizable service closer to our East Coast customers to help bring down shipping costs."
