Color Image Apparel, a Los Angeles-based clothing and apparel company, is bringing Alo Yoga and BELLA+CANVAS to the Cecil County business community. The expansion of the California retailers is expected to create 500 jobs in the new 717,000 square foot warehouse distribution center that will be located in the town of North East.

The customized distribution center is set to begin operations by Mid-August 2021 for the two brands. Alo Yoga is a premium lifestyle fitness brand that specializes in activewear and wellness products. BELLA+CANVAS is a developer of wholesale space for blank apparel that recently launched retail operations. The Color Image Apparel brands will be partnering with Radial, a third party logistics company, to manage the Maryland facility.

"As we continue seeing more Marylanders return to the workplace, Alo Yoga and BELLA+CANVAS’ new distribution center has the potential to provide hundreds of new jobs to residents throughout the region," said Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly M. Schulz. "We thank Cecil County and the Town of North East for their hard work bringing this great economic development opportunity to Maryland."

In addition to Alo Yoga and BELLA+CANVAS, the state has announced several distribution and logistics projects since the start of the year, fueling this quickly expanding sector in Maryland.

"We are pleased to welcome Alo Yogo / BELLA+CANVAS into our expanding Cecil County corporate community," said Steven Overbay, director of Cecil County Economic Development. "Through capital investment, quality employment opportunities, and community involvement, this project will contribute to our tax base while having a positive impact in Cecil County for years to come."
