Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill

Celebrating Maryland companies and their dedication to our state is one of my favorite parts of this job. From our businesses in Mountain Maryland to those on the beautiful Eastern Shore, we want to say thank you for choosing our great state.

We've been collecting your suggestions and traveling from county to county to recognize your success. Our Maryland Commerce team really hit the ground running this year, and with so many celebrations in store, we won't be slowing down anytime soon.

Topping the list in this round of anniversaries is the Bank of Delmarva, celebrating 120 years in business. The bank opened for business in Delmar, MD in 1897 and has dedicated its services to the community on the lower Delmarva peninsula ever since. Read more about the bank's history on its website.

Commerce's Mindie Burgoyne presents the Bank of Delmarva with an honorary citation celebrating the company's 120 years in business.

Keep an eye out for more anniversary celebrations from us soon. In the meantime, check out more of our recent visits in the photos below.
