Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill

The Maryland Commerce team has been traveling around the state and recognizing you – our customers – for your special anniversaries. More importantly, we want to thank our companies for their continued investment in Maryland.

We've visited dozens of companies with anniversaries ranging from 5 years to more than 100 years in business. It's been an honor for Team Commerce to meet with each and everyone one of you, and we're not stopping there. Expect to see more visits from us in the coming months and in 2017 we have plenty of celebrations lined up.

Among the companies that we've celebrated is Keller Stonebraker with 115 years of dedicated customer service. Since its founding in Hagerstown in 1901, this insurance agency has proven its commitment to Maryland by growing its western region reach to Cumberland, and later expanding to Frederick and Ellicott City. We couldn't be happier to have them continue to call Maryland home.

Other celebrations spanning the state include Dunbar Armored in Hunt Valley (60 years), Greenman-Pedersen Inc. in Rockville (50 years), and Chesapeake Environmental Lab in Stevensville (25 years).

Dixon Valve - 100 years
Johns Hopkins University's School of Public Health - 100 years
JF Johnson Lumber Company - 95 years
Shelter Systems - 40 years
Capri Pizza - 25 years
Chesapeake Harley-Davidson - 20 years
Chesapeake Environmental Lab - 25 years
Blackwater Distilling's Sloop Betty Vodka - 5 years
Dunbar Armored - 60 years
En-net - 20 years
Greenman Pedersen Inc. - 50 years
Lewis Contractors - 50 years
Linganore Winecellars - 40 years
Maroon PR - 10 years
Poplar Grove - 20 years

If your business is celebrating a milestone anniversary in 2017, be sure to send us an email or leave a comment on this post.

-Mike
