A total of 138 Maryland businesses have been named among the fastest-growing companies in the country, according to this year’s Inc. 5000 rankings.
The recent announcement features 15 Maryland businesses in Inc's top 500 companies, with the overall list spanning a variety of industries including health, IT management and software, retail, and government services.
Leading the list for Maryland is Chasen Companies, a Baltimore-based real estate company that acquires and develops properties throughout the Baltimore and Washington Metropolitan areas. At number 18, the company has experienced a 15,400 percent growth over the past three years. Chasen Companies also placed first for fastest-growing companies in the Inc. 5000 Regionals for the Washington, D.C. metro rankings.
Other familiar names include 20/20 GeneSystems (770), who recently traveled with Maryland Commerce to the Arab Health exhibition; Hungry Harvest (1683), the Shark Tank success story battling food waste; and Mindoula Health (3059), the highest ranking Maryland company on the Inc. 5000 list in 2018.
