Maryland attends Arab Health, awards more than two dozen business grants

Arab Health 2022 – one of the world’s largest healthcare exhibitions – is officially underway.
Joining the Maryland Department of Commerce in Dubai is a delegation of 14 local businesses from across the Capital Region to the Eastern Shore.
Now in its eighth year of attendance, Commerce is hosting a 450 square-foot booth to allow companies to display their products and services at the exhibition and meet with international leaders in the industry.
The department also recently awarded several rounds of ExportMD grants – to 29 small and mid-sized companies – to help them expand into the global marketplace. Many of these recipients utilized the funding to travel to the Arab Health trade show.
“We have always looked forward to leading our yearly delegation to Arab Health, but now more than ever, we want to continue providing a variety of resources to help our Maryland businesses expand their customer base,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill.
