MOI moves back home to Baltimore

Commercial interior solutions firm MOI is returning to its roots and moving back to Baltimore City in February.

Founded in Baltimore in 1983 as Maryland Office Interiors, the company had locations on both Pratt Street and Russell Street before moving to Windsor Mill in Baltimore County more than 25 years ago. At the time, the move gave MOI access to an attached warehouse facility and room to expand its services to clients. Now after years of continued growth and success, the company has chosen a fresh space to show off its new efforts and inspire clients as they make changes to their office environments.

“It is a pivotal moment and a tremendous opportunity for MOI to build a space that can support our continued evolution,” said president David Noel.

Based in Locust Point, the 13,000 square-foot space houses MOI’s headquarters and a brand new showroom, which displays a number of features for collaborative spaces, technology integration, and custom working environments at a variety of price points. The interior solutions provider’s formerly attached warehouse is now located in Elkridge along I-95, maximizing storage capacity and providing easy access to clients in both the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. markets.

With the move, MOI – which now has 150 employees throughout the Mid Atlantic – is focusing on engaging workers and inspiring innovation and collaboration among its teams. With an accessible commute and adjacent amenities, the company believes its new location at McHenry Row will help recruit and retain the talent needed to take the company to the next level in 2019.

“We want to show our commitment to the City of Baltimore and connect back to where we began in 1983,” said Noel.

MOI is a 100 percent employee-owned company. To learn more, visit moii.com.
