Baltimore's own supplier of theme park attractions is celebrating the opening of its newest thrill ride.

Premier Rides spent the last year creating the new Hype roller coaster, which officially opened at Finland's Srknniemi Amusement Park in June. The engineering company is known for designing and manufacturing roller coasters, water rides, and observation towers and wheels throughout the world.

According to the company, Hype is a triple-launch coaster based on the California award-winning SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight, and has the most current launch system technology available in the industry. Once riders are throttled out of the home station, gravity takes control and pulls passengers forward, backward, and through a series of twists and turns (featured above). The new attraction is the theme park's largest investment to date.
