RoosterBio, Inc. announced today that they will be graduating from Frederick's bioscience and technology incubator, the Frederick Innovative Technology Center Inc. (FITCI), expanding into 14,000 square feet at 5295 Westview Drive located at the Offices at Westview. RoosterBio has experienced tremendous growth and the new facility will accommodate their present and future needs.

"Bio-tech companies like RoosterBio are accomplishing amazing research and discovery, creating jobs, and making Frederick County a leader in the life science industry and in improving public health," County Executive Jan Gardner said. "RoosterBio is a great example of the innovation fostered in Frederick County. Our cutting-edge bio-tech and life sciences industry has unparalleled access to some of the world's top researchers and influencers in our region. RoosterBio's success is proof that FITCI's incubator works."

Founded in 2013, RoosterBio currently occupies approximately 4,000 square feet at FITCI. Their new expanded space will be 14,000 square feet and will be built out for offices, R&D laboratories, stem cell manufacturing and warehouse space. The new facility will have a lab operation performing manufacturing research and process development, as well as product manufacturing and distribution. RoosterBio has 25 employees and plans to double within the next few years.
