Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development (SWED) recently launched its second video in a series promoting Salisbury and Wicomico County as a choice location for business and living. The latest video highlights one of the most important topics in economic development today: workforce readiness.

"We recognize the importance of talent in today's economy and this latest video highlights the various initiatives and resources available throughout our region that help build and enhance the skill sets of our workforce and connect people to jobs," said Jacob Day, Mayor of Salisbury.

The video highlights public and private sectors working together on training initiatives, continuing education, and outreach to help provide a labor force with the skill sets needed to succeed in today's economy.

"This series of videos reinforces that Wicomico County is Open for Business and allows us to share the story of success in our community," said Wicomico County Executive Bob Culver.

Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development, Inc. is a public-private partnership founded in 1968 to enhance the area's economy through job retention, job growth and economic diversification. Visit SWED at www.swed.org.
