Strouse, a Carroll County manufacturer that serves the military, medical, and automotive industries, officially opened its new manufacturing operations this month. Located in the Westminster Technology Park, the new facility will help streamline manufacturing processes and provide additional room for the company to grow in future years. Strouse currently has 65 employees and plans to create 25 new jobs with this recent expansion.

Following the ribbon cutting, president and CEO Sue Chambers led a tour of the new plant.

“Our drive for innovation has propelled our growth, enabling us to hire additional staff, invest in their development, and purchase leading edge equipment and technology to better serve our customers,” said Chambers.

The Maryland Department of Commerce previously provided a $100,000 conditional loan to assist the company with its new facility. Additionally, Strouse plans to take advantage of the More Jobs for Marylanders program, which is expected to help create nearly 2,000 jobs in the state.
