WebstaurantStore expands into Harford County

As the largest online restaurant supply store, WebstaurantStore  is once again growing its Maryland footprint. This time, it is with an expansion into Aberdeen.

In 2014, WebstaurantStore purchased a 525,000 square-foot space in Cumberland, Md., which became its second distribution location on the East Coast. Now seven years later, the company has signed a lease at the former Kuehne + Nagel facility in the Eastgate Logistics Park  in Harford County.

Located at 1100 Woodley Road, the new WebstaurantStore location will serve as a distribution center near I-95 and Route 40. The company anticipates creating more than 100 new jobs at this facility, with plans to double employment within the first few years of business. This is one of several distribution projects to be discussed in the region recently, following major announcements from Highline Warren and Alo Yoga last year.

The Maryland Department of Commerce is working with the company to explore tax credit options, including the More Jobs for Marylanders program and the Job Creation Tax Credit. Harford County is assisting with workforce transportation solutions via Harford Transit Link; connections with Susquehanna Workforce Network for hiring promotions; and access to workforce training grant opportunities.

Based out of Pennsylvania, WebstaurantStore provides more than 350,000 products on its website to restaurant professionals and individual customers across the globe. From commercial ovens and ice machines, to disposable take-out containers and janitorial supplies, the company prides itself on having a comprehensive selection to suit any customer’s needs.

As e-commerce accelerates at lightning speed, companies are innovating to get their products from the warehouse to buyers’ doorsteps faster than ever. Learn why Maryland’s prime location makes it ideal for logistics and distribution.
