MyJourney Technologies is open for business and ready to help parents set their children up for soccer success.

The Howard County company recently launched MyJourney Soccer , a new mobile soccer coaching platform to help young players reach their full potential. The service – available through your phone’s app store – allows parents to upload video footage of their children playing soccer, which is then evaluated and sent back with specific instruction from skills coach and MyJourney Soccer co-founder David Copeland-Smith.

Also co-founding the app is National Women’s Soccer League star Alex Morgan. Currently captain and a striker for the San Diego Wave FC, Morgan will provide exclusive content to users available only through the MyJourney app. Morgan has personally trained with Copeland-Smith, as have many other members of the National Women’s Soccer League, Major League Soccer, English Premier League, and more.

“As professionals, all our games are recorded. We’re provided clear and actionable visual feedback on how we can improve. The problem is that very few kids have access to it,” said Morgan. “Parents and friends already take video of players; now it turns into a powerful coaching tool to improve their game. Through MyJourney Soccer, any player anywhere can have the same. Our world-class and on-demand coaches, led by my own coach, David Copeland-Smith, are eager to help them accelerate their soccer journey.”

“For too long, personalized soccer coaching has been available to too few,” said Rick Geritz, CEO of MyJourney Technologies. “So we’ve democratized premier soccer instruction to provide players access to their true potential.”

The technology behind the app is already being utilized in the golf world. The Swing Index app , which earned a five-star rating, has helped golfers achieve a 96 percent success rate at improving their swing. The results didn’t go unnoticed—the “coaching-as-a-service” technology was incorporated into TaylorMade’s own app  earlier this year.
