Baltimore brokerage firm expands to WTC Penthouse

Quillion Wealth Management, a Baltimore-based brokerage firm, has expanded to a larger space in the heart of the Inner Harbor.

Previously located on the 23rd floor of the World Trade Center building, Quillion has moved its headquarters to the 28th floor – or the Penthouse – overlooking the city and the Baltimore harbor below. At 5,394 square-feet, the Penthouse gives the brokerage firm an additional 2,000 square-feet than its previous suite.

According to Jeff Link, Quillion’s senior manager partner, the move will allow the company to immediately expand its workforce and look at future expansion plans, thanks to an excellent property management team.

"We’re very excited about this expansion – not only because we are always happy to see one of our tenants succeed, thrive, and grow, but also because it has given us the opportunity to renovate the Penthouse level common areas of the World Trade Center," said Daren Dean, WTC property manager. "The newly completed fitness center, as well as the 21st floor Conference Center renovations currently underway, have played a part in several tenants' expansions."

Formed in 2015, Quillion was founded by a team of Merrill Lynch executives looking to break away from the corporate atmosphere and serve small-business owners and families. Known for providing investment portfolio management, financial planning, and various other financial services, the Baltimore firm also has a presence in Florida, New York, and California.

“There is an exciting paradigm shift happening in wealth management as experienced advisors seek to cut ties with large institutions to join boutique investment firms,” said Valerie Campbell, wealth manager, senior vice president. “Jeff has created a home for both those experienced advisors and their clients in a spectacular setting at the top the WTC that will allow for a decades of expansion with some sweeping 360 degree views.”

The Penthouse was recently renovated to accommodate Quillion’s expansion; the floor was previously raw space with no flooring, ceiling, walls, or window coverings. The entire project was built and renovated from top to bottom.

“The Quillion expansion has created positive momentum for leasing the Penthouse level. We expect to have only one other tenant on this floor, so we’re following leads to bring another company to the heights of The World Trade Center where they may shine a positive light on their company and brand,” said Dean. "We will also have new exterior column lights illuminating the building later this year. This is an exciting time as we give this iconic I. M. Pei building a fresh and updated look."
