From funding programs designed to bolster manufacturing to workforce programs connecting businesses to trained talent, here are five programs available to Maryland manufacturers.


Provides grants to small and mid-sized Maryland manufacturers to invest in Industry 4.0-related technologies, machinery and robotics, and digital business practices in order to remain competitive and drive growth. Learn more. 

Provides new and existing manufacturers and businesses that locate or expand in a Maryland Opportunity Zone with tax incentives tied to job creation for a 10-year period, including a refundable income tax credit, and for manufacturers, encourages additional investment in new equipment through accelerated and bonus depreciation. Provides matching training grants and support services targeted to improve the competitive position of small and mid-sized manufacturing and technology companies. Learn More 

Through EARN Maryland, organizations across Maryland receive funding to administer workforce training programs; several in the manufacturing sector. Learn More
