Maryland expands site selection database to 3,100 properties

Site selection in Maryland is about to get a lot easier.

The state’s properties and sites database for commercial real estate data recently increased to more than 3,100 listings—a seven-fold increase.

The expanded database – which includes locations in each of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions – is the result of a new partnership between the Maryland Department of Commerce and data software company REsimplifi .

One of the most significant changes with the improved database is the number of sites targeted toward small businesses, with many listings under 20,000 square-feet, as well as buildings suited for retail. Additional search filters can be applied to help businesses identify data for the surrounding communities, including labor force availability, educational attainment, and more.

Not only will additional specs and potential sites improve the efficiency with which businesses find new locations, it will also make Maryland more attractive to out-of-state companies. When equipped with an ideal location, a company can easily remain competitive and focus on its long-term success, including plans for future expansions in the state.
