The country’s top event for foreign direct investment (FDI) is being held in Maryland this week, and the Maryland Department of Commerce is taking advantage of promoting the state to a multitude of international investors.

Hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the 2022 SelectUSA Investment Summit is expected to bring in more than 1,200 business investors from approximately 80 international markets. The annual event has impacted nearly $58 billion in new investment projects across the country, supporting more than 47,000 jobs nationwide.

Maryland Commerce is exhibiting at the summit with a 200 square-foot booth (#1100) and participating in several events throughout the week, including hosting a reception with Governor Larry Hogan and dozens of business leaders and investors, hosting industry-specific tours for foreign investors, attending bilateral events with partnering countries, and more.

Attending SelectUSA also gives Maryland Commerce the opportunity to promote the Maryland Global Gateway, a newly announced initiative that builds on the state’s Soft Landing Program.
